Coast Kids Preschool Staff since September 2015

Hi, my name is Denise Jenkins, and I am delighted to teach 4’s / Pre-K in the B104 classroom this year. This is my 8th year at Coast Kids Preschool and I consider it a privilege to have a part in the lives of the children at CKP as they explore, learn, and grow in independence and knowledge. I am also honored to be able to share a love for Christ and His Word with them.

I currently hold a Child Development Associate Teacher Certification. My past teaching experience has involved teaching co-ops for various ages, including preschool in a home school setting, teaching Sunday School, and a Children’s Leader with a community Bible study.

My husband, Darren, and I have 3 daughters: Alyssa (32), Danielle (30), and Sarah (25) and son-in-law, Derek. We have a dog named Kiwi and three cats: Oreo, Sugar and Rocky. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, cooking, gardening, sewing, and the beach.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?” This sums up how I desire to live my life and interact with others… with mercy, humility and fairness, knowing that we are all growing and learning. We all need God’s love and mercy in our lives. I am so thankful and happy He offers it to us through His Son, Jesus.
